What Drives Us

Mission

Bitlig is dedicated to accelerating Europe's path to energy independence, decreasing reliance on fossil fuels, and is fully committed to reducing CO2 emissions today.

Problem

Transportation is responsible for 29% of global CO2 emissions. • Airlines require 330 million tons of SAF to achieve Net Zero by 2050, but only 50 million tons are expected to be available by 2030. Failure to meet these targets will result in substantial fines for airlines. • Road transport uses HVO, but limited supply necessitates the continued use of fossil diesel. Approximately 1,500 new production facilities are necessary to meet the demand for renewable fuels.

Solution

Bitlig Renewable Fuels introduces an innovative and highly efficient hardware platform and software process to convert biomass to drop-in fuels at a yield 3x higher than current market leaders and at significantly lower production costs. The products, SAF and HVO, seamlessly integrate into existing fueling infrastructures, enabling aviation and road transport operators to reduce their CO2 emissions by up to 90%, equating a reduction of 500,000 tons per year for our planned facility.
